The Executive
Committee of the Branch is composed of the President, Vice President (not to exceed
three Vice Presidents), Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, the Chairmen
of the standing committees of the Branch, President of the Youth Councils and
Branch Advisors in the Youth Councils.
The duties and responsibilities
of the Executive Committee of the Branch:
1. Have general
control of the affairs and programs of the Branch, subject to the authority of
the General Membership, Branch by-laws (where applicable) and the provisions of
the constitution and bylaws for Branches of NAACP.
2. Render a report containing the reports of all
standing and special committees, at the regular meeting of the General Membership
and whenever otherwise required.
3. Consider for ratification the appointments made
by the president of individuals to serve as chairman of standing and special committees.
Shallow understanding
from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from
people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright
rejection.
